Many decisions that effect you and your child are made by the Explore Knowledge Academy's Board of Directors.
Currently there are four (4) positions that need to be filled! We have several candidates who wish to be part of this board, please take a moment to fill out your ballot and return it to the school before May 18th.

Below is some info on the candidates.
Jeanne Fetty-I have 3 boys, 1 at Sandhill one at Community and one on the way to kindergarten as well as a neice at Whitney Mesa and my nephew at Sandhill - I am Secretary of the PTSA and have been very involved in school happenings and involved with the current board. I volunteer or help coordinate carnivals, book fairs and all other events as well as volunteer wherever I am needed. I try to keep parents up to date via website, facebook and email.
Ron Pipkins is a self employed business man with 2 children 1 at Sandhill and 1 at Community Lane - He was recently appointed to the current school board to fill a vacancy (that term is now up) Ron has taken over as treasurer and has jumped in with both feet in the last few months and has made major contributions to our school

Ben Childs has children at all 3 campuses and has served on the current board for 2 years. Ben is always there to ask the difficult questions and get to the bottom of the problem, never one to pull punches he likes to research all facts before making final decisions.
Jessica Kennedy is a self employed business woman who has been heavily involved in in the PTSA and has acquired numerous donations for the school and the school carnival as well as given countless hours to volunteer in class rooms all ptsa functions and anywhere she is needed, working around her busy schedule.
Erin Fletcher has 4 children 3 in the smaller campuses. Erin works full time but has still managed to be a vital part of starting the Explore Parents group which is a place for parents to get to know each and volunteers to help in classrooms and field trips whenever needed.
Terri Keener- Steve and I have two daughters who have attended EKA for the past four years and a niece who is an EKA graduate. I am a licensed clinical social worker with volunteer and work experience in education and special education. My career has focused on working with children and youth for almost 25 years of public service. EKA is a unique and wonderful place to be thanks to the personal investment and dedication of its advisors, staff, and families. It is no surprise that so many seek the honor of serving on its Board
Cindy DellaValle-I am a devoted wife and mother of four(4)children. My husband Tom and I have three of our four children attending EKA, with one child at each campus and one still at home. Alexa (14) is in 9th grade, Tommy (9) is in 3rd grade and Grant (6) is in Kindergarten. I currently volunteer at EKA on a weekly basis and am a member of the PTSA.
My children's education is paramount-and with my past career, I am sure I can bring a lot of leadership and professionalism to the open position.
